Where is the time going? It blows my mind that we get the transfer text Saturday, YIKES! This week was crazy exhausting. We had a Blitz with Marquette and an exchange with Sheboygan - so many miracles!
So first off. Zone Training Meeting went off without a hitch. It was fun to celebrate fulfilling the mission goal and to hear about some of the miracles that have occurred in the last 3 months throughout the mission. Sister Payne was super nervous for her first training, but she was a total natural! The training we gave was originally given by Sister Renlund when she and Elder Renlund visited Wausau a couple weeks ago. It was all about teaching, testifying, promising blessings, and following up with a focus on the invitations we extend. Another great part of ZTM was when Lori came and bore her testimony and told her conversion story. It was SO powerful!
The drive to and from Marquette was rainy, but the overcast day made the fall colors even more vibrate (if that is even possible!!!). It was a long drive, but so so beautiful! Pictures just don't do the UP justice. WOW. Really that's all I can say - fall is in full swing up there and will peak here in a couple weeks. I love the fall time(: Also it was super fun to blitz with Sister Twitchell again. Already she has grown so much and become a more confident missionary. We prayed Heavenly Father would put prepared people in our path and He totally did! We were contacting a potential when we met this totally prepared woman named Amber! We talked with her for almost an hour and were able to set a return appointment with her and give her a copy of the Book of Mormon. Amber reminds me so much of Jenny Grunden in Rapids it is insane! If she is anything like Jenny there will be such good things happening in Marquette(:
Lighting the Fasting Torch:
For the next 3 months we are doing this super cool fasting chain throughout the mission. We started it this week with a mission-wide fast and then everyday for the next 90 days there will be a companionship fasting for the end of year mission goal we're working towards!
Sister Straight and I went on an exchange together here in Green Bay this week - probably one of the most miracle filled exchanges I have gone on! We worked hard and had so much fun! We got 3 new investigators and had a bunch of other lessons and a couple member presents. It was just a good day all around. The biggest miracle was with a potential who called and set an appointment up with us! The other day when Sister Payne and I had been tracting we met this man who said he had a friend named Marleen who could use some help. When we asked more about meeting with her, he said he would give her our card. Most of the time when that kind of thing happens we never hear back, but MIRACLE he did give her the card and she reached out to us and wants to meet! We are excited to be teaching this new FAMILY!!!(:
Mariah passed her baptismal interview yesterday and is soo ready for her baptism on Wednesday. The youth are doing everything for the baptism - everything! It has been so fun to coordinate with them and see them get excited(: This week we had a lesson at the Rau's and at the end Johan (he's a Priest who will be baptizing Mariah) and Mariah were able to practice the baptismal ordinance - it was the sweetest thing to watch(:
Well that's all I've got for ya! I am so grateful for the Book of Mormon - I know it to be the Word of God! It changes hearts, it's changing mine. I know Heavenly Father hears and answers our prayers. He is aware of us! I know the Savior lives! I love being able to testify of Him each day! Hope you all have a wonderful week. LOVE YOU!!!!
